Import from Apple Notes

Flynt 0.13.0 can copy selected Apple Notes into the active project while leaving Apple Notes and iCloud Notes unchanged.

Before you begin

Import workflow

  1. Open Settings → Project → Imports.
  2. Click Browse Apple Notes and approve the macOS Automation prompt.
  3. Select individual unlocked notes or use Select all unlocked.
  4. Choose Review selected notes →. Flynt fetches bodies only at this step.
  5. Review each Markdown preview, destination path, and fidelity warning.
  6. Choose Import to copy the reviewed notes into the project.

Where notes go

Imported material is written under Apple Notes Import/<folder path>/. Flynt preserves stable Apple Notes account/note identity, source folder, timestamps, shared state, and import warnings in frontmatter. Re-importing the same stable source skips it instead of creating another copy.

Fidelity limits

If permission is denied

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation, allow Flynt to control Notes, return to Flynt, and click Browse Apple Notes again.
